Yesterday, after the youth had begun to disperse, I was standing in the hall of Freedom Café and God met me in the sweetest way. 
To my left, I was reminiscing with one of the young ladies from our very first youth group way back in the day. Like several others, she has her own babies now. 
To my right, one of the young ladies in our current afterschool program called my name with a question.
“Miss Carrie!”
I looked left. I looked right. Tears of gratitude filled my eyes as I stood between the past and the present 
God has been so kind and so faithful to allow us to share His love, hope, and freedom for nearly 20 years and across two nations. 
Until recently, I don’t think I have ever just stopped long enough to reflect on the amazing life He has allowed us to live or all the amazing people that He has placed in our circle.
We’ve just tried to be obedient, living the way He has asked, doing what He has asked us to do. We’ve walked through doors He has opened and it feels like we are coming full circle in this season.
What an honor it is to watch His story unfold through the generations.
